For over 30 years, Champion Feed Services Ltd. has been a proud supporter of 4-H! In order to support all types of 4-H Clubs, in 2006, Champion Feeds introduced the Champion Feed Services Ltd. 4-H Professional Development Grant. This grant was designed to replace past activities (ie. purchasing livestock at sales, providing funds for trophies and providing product for raffles and prizes). The Champion Feed Services Ltd. 4-H Professional Development Grant was implemented to provide a source of funding for all 4-H Clubs in Champion Feed’s trading area to conduct professional development activities not mandated by the 4-H Branch.
Since 2006, Champion Feed Services Ltd. has donated over $12,025 to 4-H through the 4-H Professional Development Grant.
About the Program:
Professional development is an important aspect of 4-H. Each 4-H member learns valuable life skills by beginning and completing a 4-H project, plus they also learn valuable professional development skills through the various activities that are mandated by the 4-H Branch such as public speaking and presentations.
In addition to those mandated activities, Champion Feed Services knew that many 4-H clubs organized a variety of extra professional development activities that builds both important skills and memories.
To help make sure these extra activities are successful, Champion Feed Services Ltd. created the grant program to assist 4-H Clubs in our trading area with funds to help pay for these additional professional development activities not mandated by the 4-H Branch.
