For this reason, Champion Oat Processors, along with it's parent company Champion Feed Services Ltd., is proud to have implemented several programs into our manufacturing processes to Manage Feed Safety.
What is FeedAssureTM?
FeedAssureTM is a comprehensive feed safety management and certification program (HACCP) developed for the Canadian Feed Industry through the Animal Nutrition Association of Canada (ANAC). It is a systematic approach to controlling feed safety during the manufacturing process. It involves indentifying potential hazards at all stages of production and maintaining procedures to eliminate hazards or minimize the likelihood of occurrence.
FeedAssureTM is proven and practical. Development began in 1996 and was created to meet the unique production requirements of livestock feed manufacturing. It was tested on the feed mill floor, refined, enhanced and now is the well recognized feed industry-customized HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) program. Champion Oat Processors facility became certified in June 2002.
FeedAssureTM is an on-going program that will be constantly refined in response to changes in our facilities as well as the feed manufacturing industry. The participation of all management, office, production, warehouse staff, our suppliers, truckers, contractors and customers is essential to the successful operation of FeedAssureTM.
